The AW 95 helicopter is an updated version of the famous Hobbycopter or "Choppy" design that was introduced in 1958 Picture to the left. The AW95 updated version's plans seem to me to have several errors and many omissions. (enough to be irritating but not so many as to be un-usable)
Both the original "choppy" and the AW95 plans are available from vortechonline.com. at a reasonable price. I will NOT share the plans with anyone, they are copyrighted material.
I will be documenting my progress and thoughts in this blog.
But I need to start off with a disclaimer. I am not an Engineer. I have not completed my 95 and so have not flight tested anything that may be mentioned here. These are simply notes of what I noticed and my thoughts on possible mistakes and things left out of the plans. If you modify the parts based on my comments, you do so at your own risk. These notes may save you some time figuring out how to make a part or how the whole thing is assembled. Or in the worst case, explain where I went wrong with my build to the FAA accident investigator.
